Sasker Polman : Modern / Contemporary

Education at the Rotterdam Dance Academy where I was trained in Classical, Jazz and the more traditional modern dances (Graham/Limon/Cunningham). Following more my interests I started taking classes/workshops at the Ultima-Vez Studio (Brussel). Besides practisising some Breakdance I trained/played passionfull Capoeira for many years (which influences are visible in my class). During the years I developed my own style specialising more and more in floor-work/partnering/dynamic choreographing and physical (dance)theatre. As a free-lancer I danced all over the world (Spain, France, Maroc, Schotland, Austria, South-Corea etc..). I danced with company Aya, Kanvas, Tranz, Total Brutal, Snowwhite and the last years with company Ex-Nihilo (which won in 2008 a price for most innovative piece in Spain). As well as dancing in many projects and different opera's I also worked with Saskia Boddeke and filmdirector Peter Greenaway. As a choreographer I danced in my own duet: "what a child doesn't remember". With this piece I won the concourse from Barcelona 2006.
