Rossana Caldarera began her professional education with classical ballet in her hometown Genoa, Italy.
At the age of 18, she participates to the dance competition “Danza&state” where she wins a scholarship to study in the Academy Balletto di Toscana-Opus Ballet, in Florence.
She will stay there for 2 year and will work with M.Bigonzetti and F.Monteverde for Junior BdT company, and D.Tinazzi for Opus Ballet Company.
In 2004 she leaves Italy for France where she meets D.Lesdema, modern jazz choreographe and dancer. With him she refines her education and will work in his company “Kinetic” for 3 years. In the same period she works also with C.Portal, C.Dodelande, A.Alexandrov and M.Lusuer.
Since 2009 Rossana is living in Amsterdam. Here she worked with Sagi Gross, Bencha Theater(aerial and acrobatic company), Thao Nguyen and Lonneke van Leth.
Her work is the combination of ballet tecnic, floorwork fluidity, modern dynamics and with a special focus on musicality.
