Minquell fell in love with Hip-Hop at a very young age but not until 6 years ago did he discover his love for the dance in Hip-Hop. He spend 4 years taking classes at Jake's Dance Factory, where he grew into his own style. Minquell found his true passion in choreography while he remains a freestyler by heart he loves teaching. Many dancers among which the Electric Boogaloo members Poppin Pete, Suga Pop and the Legendary Skeeter Rabbit inspired him and added to his foundation. Minquell's style of Hip-Hop can be described as, smooth and groovy yet intricate. With moves taking from his freestyle, his routines are always on both the lyrics and the beat. Hitting a lot if not all the background sounds which demands a lot of physical coordination. This makes his classes challenging, you will leave his classes hearing things in music you never listened to before.
